Florida Compliance Notice

Last updated July 3, 2026. SpotCalc.com and SpotCalc Pro are operated by Surette Systems, LLC, based in Naples, Florida.

Calculation Tool Only

SpotCalc Pro is a calculation, invoice, and export workflow tool. It can help estimate precious-metal values, organize line items, save browser-local invoices, and support buyer workflows, but it does not replace legal compliance systems or professional judgment.

SpotCalc Pro is useful for pawn shops, jewelers, coin shops, precious-metals buyers, and similar businesses that want a fast calculator and invoice helper. It is not advertised as, and should not be treated as, a complete Florida Chapter 538 compliance or reporting system.

Florida Buyer Responsibilities

If you buy secondhand goods, jewelry, coins, bullion, or precious metals in Florida, you may have obligations related to licensing, customer identification, hold periods, law-enforcement reporting, transaction records, taxes, and other state or local rules.

Those obligations remain the responsibility of the user, business, dealer, or buyer. SpotCalc.com does not determine whether a transaction is legal or compliant.

What SpotCalc Pro Does Not Do

SpotCalc Pro does not currently submit transaction reports to law enforcement or government systems, does not verify whether a user is registered or licensed, does not track required holding periods, and does not determine whether a transaction satisfies Florida law.

The current app does not collect all fields that may be needed for a Florida secondhand dealer or precious-metals transaction record, such as photo ID, ID number, date of birth, seller signature, thumbprint, employee information, law-enforcement fields, government registration information, or hold-period tracking.

No Legal or Tax Advice

SpotCalc.com and SpotCalc Pro do not provide legal, tax, regulatory, or compliance advice. Florida rules can change, and local requirements may vary. Consult qualified counsel, regulators, tax professionals, or compliance advisors for guidance on your specific operations.

Practical Use

We recommend treating calculator outputs as one part of a documented review process. Confirm identity requirements, test and document metal content, verify current market prices, and keep records appropriate for your business and jurisdiction.
